oPaddock helps you find a stable, a paddock or an arena when you take to the road with your horse. Behind the site there is a small Normandy company, a family story, and one rule we do not bend: 0% commission.
What oPaddock does
oPaddock connects riders and equestrian yards. You look for a stop for your horse, you see who can take you in near your route, and you book directly with the yard.
You can book a stall, a paddock, an indoor arena, an outdoor arena, a lunging ring, a solarium or a parking space for your trailer. You can also record your rides with their GPS track, share them, and leave a review of the places you have stayed.
0% commission
The price you see is the price you pay. The yard receives the full amount: we take nothing along the way, neither from you nor from them.
No payment goes through oPaddock. You settle up directly with the yard, exactly as if you had phoned them. All we do is put you in touch.
Why oPaddock exists
The idea was not born in an office. It was born watching people lose hours on the phone trying to find a stop.
In 2018, I watched my parents hunting for overnight stops for their owners. One phone call, two, ten, and we would end up an hour off the route. I thought we could do better. That is what oPaddock is, and nothing else.
Every yard is checked by a human
A yard cannot publish itself on oPaddock. Before a listing appears in the results, it goes through three checks.
- A 14-digit SIRET number, which identifies the business. No number, no listing.
- A professional insurance certificate, which is compulsory. That is what covers your horse during its stay.
- A review by someone on our team, who opens the file and approves the listing by hand.
Without those documents the listing never goes out: it stays invisible, even if the yard filled everything in. It is slower, and that is deliberate. You are handing your horse to someone you do not know: the least we can do is check who they are.
oPaddock in numbers
The service is young, and these numbers are the real ones, counted live in our database. We would rather show a small honest number than a big invented one.
